Chapter 105

That night, Jian Suiying got utterly wasted.

It wasn't worth overthinking.

Opening his eyes, he saw a bare, muscular arm—like a boxer's—across his chest, wrapped around him in an embrace.

casting a fan-shaped shadow. Her nose tip was almost pressed against his shoulder, her always-red lips slightly parted, breathing evenly

.

Worst of all, he felt himself pressed against Li Yu's warm skin—both of them completely naked.

Waking up to such a deliciously tempting face first thing in the morning, the first thing Young Master Jian considered was whether his body felt any discomfort.

His eyes were swollen beyond recognition. Straining to open them, he could only manage a narrow slit. They felt dry and unbearably uncomfortable, so he could only squint at Jian Suiying.

Jian Suiying shifted his body backward, then propped himself up with both arms and climbed out of bed.

Li Yu instinctively grabbed his arm. "Brother Jian." The moment he opened his mouth, he realized his voice was hoarse.

As Jian Suiying stood up, the quilt slid down from his chest, revealing his solid pectorals and the scattered marks dotting his taut skin.

Jian Suiying froze, turning to glare at Li Yu.

Li Yu shook his head, meeting Jian Suiying's piercing gaze. Confused, he stammered, "I... I drank too much. I don't remember."

"Then what the hell is this?" Jian Suiying pointed at her chest.

Li Yu propped himself up, seemingly wanting to offer an excuse but reluctant to explain.

Li Yu sighed helplessly: "You threw up on both our clothes yesterday. I tossed them."

"You threw them away? What am I supposed to wear? Who asked you to manage me? I like wearing vomit-covered clothes—better than going bare-assed."

Li Yu stood up naked, pointing at the wardrobe. "My clothes are in there. Wear those for now."

Jian Suiying was furious. "Is this fucking your house or mine? I moved my own clothes out. What gives you the right to keep them here? When the hell are you going to get the hell out?"

Even someone as shameless as Jian Suiying felt a chill run down her spine under his gaze.

"Fuck." Jian Suiying grabbed a set of Li Yu's sweatpants from the wardrobe and pulled them on quickly.

He slipped it on with a hint of distaste, zipping it up with irritation.

Jian Suiying raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised, but he couldn't be bothered to speak to Li Yu.

Li Yu smiled faintly. "Whatever you like me to wear, I'll wear." He held up two ties. "Which one should I wear?"

"

Jian Suiying froze for a moment before sneering, "Are you out of your mind?" With that, he turned and walked into the bathroom.

Li Yu froze in place, his hand suspended mid-air, his heart taking ages to recover. He didn't need Jian Suiying to remind him over and over

Jian Suiying had broken up with him.

He wished he could forget.

After washing up, Jian Suiying emerged from the bedroom to find the old man sitting on the sofa watching the news. His gaze locked on Jian Suiying's face as he stepped out, and he froze.

Jian Suiying couldn't help but touch his face. "What's wrong?" Then he remembered Li Yu was still in the bedroom. The old man must

suspecting they'd slept together last night.

Just as he was about to go back and stop Li Yu from emerging from the same bedroom, she walked out. Jian Suiying awkwardly turned his head away and asked, "Is there anything to eat?"

The old man pointed to the table, "Fried dough sticks and porridge. I just went downstairs to buy them. They're still hot."

Jian Suiying sat down silently at the table and ate in silence.

As soon as Li Yu appeared, he eagerly greeted the old man, asking how he'd slept last night, already carrying himself like the master of the house.

.

Jian Suiying cursed under his breath. With his grandfather present, he couldn't vent his anger. Once the old man was gone, he swore he wouldn't be a Jian if he didn't beat Li Yu.

The old man beckoned him. "Come sit for a while."

Jian Suiying walked over, covering his neck.

The old man shot him a sideways glance. "Don't hide it."

"Don't you mind me meddling in your affairs?"

Jian Suiying replied awkwardly: "You'll still meddle if you go back. Stay a few more days."

"No, I won't. Beijing's air is terrible. My old body can't take it. I'll leave soon. I just want to say a few words to you two."

."

Jian Suiying replied listlessly: "Oh."

The two exchanged a glance but said nothing.

The two silently escorted the old man to the entrance of the residential complex, where Old Wu's car had been waiting for some time.

Though the weather had turned warmer, the early morning breeze still carried a biting chill. Seeing Jian Suiying shivering slightly,

hurriedly said, "Go back now, no need to see me off. I'll call you when I arrive." "It's fine, I'm not cold. Uncle Wu, drive carefully." "Don't worry, young master."

"Grandpa, you go back first. Once I'm done with my work, I'll come visit you. It'll be just the right season for fishing." "Alright, go back now."

Li Yu also bent down and whispered softly: "Grandpa, thank you."

Old Master Jian sighed. "Nothing much. You two go back. It's freezing out here." Li Yu suddenly leaned forward and whispered something quickly into the old man's ear. The old man paused, then nodded.

After the car drove off, Jian Suiying grabbed Li Yu by the collar and demanded, "What did you just say?"

Li Yu grabbed his hand. "Brother Jian, it's freezing out here. Let's go inside to talk. Look how cold your hands are."

"Who wants to go inside with you? I brought my car keys. I'm leaving now. What did you tell my grandfather?"

Li Yu blinked. "If you want to know, let's go inside." "Fuck, are you asking for a beating? Why are you being such a pain right now..."

A series of frantic honks suddenly cut through the air between them, the sound carrying palpable anger.

Both turned to see Jian Suilin sitting in the parked SUV nearby. They froze simultaneously.

Jian Suilin opened the door and stepped out. He seemed to be fine now, but his face was frighteningly pale, and a storm brewed in his eyes. Jian Suying looked at him, her hands trembling slightly.

They were still together!

He hated it—hated Jian Suiying, hated Li Yu, hated why he had to be Jian Suiying's brother.
